Thermal and gastric stability of antimicrobial activity of juices and aqueous extracts prepared from common eligible herbs and traditional medicinal plants against Burkholderia pseudomallei and other enteric bacteria

Abstract Background Burkholderia pseudomallei is a causative agent of melioidosis, fatal infectious disease highly prevalent in the tropics where traditional medicinal plants are widely used for treatment various human ailments. In this study, we aimed to evaluate vitro antibacterial activity common eligible herbs and against B. . Thermal gastric stability, spectrum, bactericidal activity, cell cytotoxicity were also tested verify possible usage these melioidosis. Results Eighteen twenty-one collected. Herb juices aqueous plant samples extracted at different temperatures prepared testing. A higher proportion extracts (17/21; 80.9%) was observed, comparison with that herb (8/18; 44.5%). Further vivo investigations needed explore other alternative therapies prevention pathogenic bacterial species.
